Description

This monograph introduces S-Theory, a structural framework for analyzing rationality in contexts where classical models based on computation, optimization, or probabilistic resolution prove insufficient. S-Theory departs from state-centered and algorithmic approaches by treating structure, symmetry, and admissible transformation as primary objects of analysis. The core claim of the book is that many phenomena in decision-making, aggregation, and collective rationality are not irrational or underspecified, but structurally indeterminate. In such settings, rationality cannot be adequately captured by optimization, equilibrium, or convergence. Instead, it must be understood as consistency with structural invariants and respect for symmetry-induced indistinguishability.
