Description

This monograph develops a structural theory of attitude as the missing link between belief, desire, intention, and action in individual and collective agency. It argues that many long-standing puzzles in philosophy, psychology, economics, and social choice - such as weakness of will, preference reversals, behavioral “biases”, and aggregation paradoxes - arise not from human irrationality, but from a failure to represent the internal structure of agency adequately.
