The Logic of Survival (PathGame)
This monograph develops PATHGAME as a formal systems-theoretical model within S-theory and the general framework of S (k, m , *). PATHGAME is introduced as a finite, path-dependent, capacity-constrained system operating under heavy-tailed (Pareto) distributions of value. The model is progressively extended and applied to society, science, markets, and religion, including the process of secularization. The central claim is that modern complex systems are not equilibrium-seeking structures but survival systems governed by inequality, bounded capacity, endogenous pressure, irreversible failure, and normatively defined success. PATHGAME serves as a unifying formal device that integrates sociological, economic, epistemic, and religious dynamics into a single coherent analytical framework.
